Kentucky VINE is a free, confidential notification service for custody events. Graves County jail information and Kentucky Department of Corrections information can both reach VINE, but they may exist as separate offender records. That distinction matters in Graves County because the Jailer can own the local booking while Christian County or another western Kentucky jail physically holds the person. A release date is not the same as dismissal or final discharge. Parole, probation, mandatory reentry supervision, and conditional discharge can follow physical release. Register Graves County Release Alerts
Registration begins from the correct offender record. Kentucky VINE supports phone, text, email, or app notification channels described by the service. Registration is confidential. Because one person can have both a local jail record and a DOC record, enroll on each relevant record when the custody path crosses systems.

- Select “Notify Me of Status Changes” and choose the offered contact method.
- Enter the phone number, email address, or other requested contact detail.
- Create the required four-digit PIN for phone registration.
- Confirm registration and keep the PIN available to acknowledge a call.
- Repeat on a separate DOC or county record when both could produce events.
The PIN tells the automated system that the intended recipient heard the call. It is not an offender PIN or court identifier. Keep contact information current. If a phone blocks unknown or automated calls, another offered channel may reduce missed alerts.
Confirm a Graves VINE Release
VINE data can lag an operational event. A court may sign an order before jail staff finish release processing. The VINE notice may then follow the physical exit. The reverse problem can also arise when a local record closes because the person moved to another custodian. Written DOC victim notification uses a different route. Send the offender's name or ID and the requester's contact information to the Kentucky Department of Corrections Office of Victim Services, P.O. Box 2400, Frankfort, KY 40602. A request for notice about an institutional furlough goes to the institution's warden. These options concern notification and do not create a public release certificate.
Keep the Graves Jailer and DOC contact details with the registration record. If a call reports a release, note the time, enter the PIN to acknowledge it, and contact the reporting agency when the destination or continuing supervision matters. A notice tied to one custody record does not cancel an unrelated hold.
Two Graves Release Registrations
A person can move from a local Graves County booking into Kentucky DOC custody or supervision. One VINE registration may follow only the local jail record. A second may follow the DOC record. A negative VINE search is not proof that a person was never held or has not been released. The record may use another spelling, alias, or identifier. A very recent booking may not have reached the service. An older local record may sit outside the visible search, and a person farmed out after the Graves jail damage may be associated with a receiving facility.
Return to BlueHorse Past Inmate for a local booking. Search a short name first, then narrow by date, Perm ID, State ID, or booking information. Open the detail and compare Release Date, Farm-Out Location, Arrest Agency, bond status, and disposition. For a sentenced state offender, search KOOL by DOC or PID number and review the detailed record. A District 1 Probation and Parole location indicates community supervision rather than confinement.
